GT4: 26.9% - 42 or 43 cars - Cr: 917,000

Blog'D by Atamarashi

I reckon I'm going pretty far again in GT4...

The last event I've done was an enduro...

That was quite tiring and also worth it I guess...

So, once I got to 25.4%, I went to the Endurance Hall and decided to go to the 'Laguna Seca 200 miles' event thinking, "This must be easy and short, it's Laguna Seca after all..."

Yeah, real correct thought, not.

I drove my favourite BMW M3 GTR and aced the lot of them out in front. About 36 laps later, I was still first, with second about a lap behind and I'm actually tired...

Well I pulled into pits on that 38th lap and here on then, I let the B-spec driver take over as I was actually (I really couldn't believe it) tired from driving. In a videogame.

I obviously sped up the race threefold and waited about 1 and a half hours before the last lap...

The race was over and I was drained...

A total of 90 laps in 2 hours and 45 minutes. And I'll have to do this, and possibly ones lasting for a realtime 24 hours (in A-spec) even more times.

Argh!

TDU update!!!

Blog'D by Atamarashi

Today well, I decided to get the v1.66A patch for TDU...

It's understandable as I was pretty tired of my corrupted save with the bald headed guy sitting on the couch instead of my usual guy and all these weird achievements I had never seen before...

So, I installed the patch (yes, it was very quick - 2-5 seconds), booted up TDU and voila, se magnifique!

Say hello to TDU v1.66A... and other features... but I'll get back that in a moment...

I selected "New Game" to get rid of that annoying corrupted save, selected the character, watched the intro and generally started a new leaf/game, specifically the latter. Through the tutorial, sensibly choosing a low cost car - Lotus Elise R for 10 minutes, bought the same Ale Moana house, bought the same Audi TT Sport Quattro, raced a couple races and I checked for the new cars...

Yes! They are there! So the first Vehicle Transport mission I found I perfected and bought the Nissan Skyline R34 GTR - $50,000 (D Class).

Here's pics of a little joy ride:
So, I tuned it up, hoping it would turn into a Nismo Skyline GTR Z tune and it didn't.

Anyway, Pro now, $305,000 or so and liking this game even more...

Got TMUF? Didn't think so...

Blog'D by Atamarashi

First of all,

Go Trackmania United Forever!!!

Ok, so I got the free update from Nadeo with my United (I bought it a year ago at EB), of course downloaded in like 2 hours (all 902mb of it), installed successfully and I started it up...

Ta dah!! It works like a breeze, looks awesome and (unlike some poor guys who had problems because they lost their key, they downloaded their United from Steam and it asked for a key, or some other problem) my TMUF actually works!

And I didn't even need a new account - my United one was just upgraded to United Forever anyway. So for the people who had problems with keys and such, do what I did:

1.Buy United (obviously you can't now, go get United Forever retail instead, but this is what I did) at a retail store (eg. EB)
2.Create account once it is installed.
3.Wait awhile for a major update.
4.Download the add-on form of update
5.Install and use United account and enjoy!

I'll post some screenshots soon...

TDU: Total Driving Ultimatum

Blog'D by Atamarashi

No, really it stands for Test Drive Unlimited.

Its pretty awesome and have started playing it this week, after I finally got it working. I started off my usual way, in awe of all the awesome cars and their heavily detailed and realistic sounds, handling and even the general feel of the car. For example, if you were driving a Lamborghini Gallardo SE on a bustling and often beautiful Hawaiian landscape, it really did feel like you were driving a Lamborghini Gallardo SE on a bustling and often beautiful Hawaiian landscape, (well to the extent the game can simulate.) It just feels that real. Its astonishing.

I started off renting a Mercedes Benz SLK 55 AMG for about 20 minutes, then buying the Ala Moane (correct me if I'm wrong) house. Then, after much decision, I bought an Audi TT Sport Quattro, apparently the best car to start out with. A couple of races and missions passed by and before I knew it, I was an Expert with a sizeably large sum of money - $414,000. So I thought, "Why not buy a supercar? Well its Test Drive Unlimited anyway."

So I did. Choosing from either a Mercedes Benz CLK DTM or a Lamborghini Gallardo SE, I went with my car instinct. I chose the Lamborghini.

So its now offically my favourite free ride car and come the races, I'll beat them all.

Here's a couple of pics when I was on my first joy ride with my awesome Gallardo:

Le Este Articulo en Espanol

Huh. Strange as it may be, it is not up to the executives and media people who apparently 'care about the environment' (because all the hype would make them more money from scams and such) to influence the plots and maybe morals or message in books or games or tv shows.

Such an example would be the fourth Maximum Ride book, The Final Warning.

Now, as you may conclude from the title, the book has an ulterior message that is quite inappropriate and unnecessary to include in a fictional novel, especially in a series like Maximum Ride, which has so far gained popular status among young adults (11-15). This kind of marketing and blatant advertisement of the current situation is downright ridiculous and totally unnecessary. Its like a little kid pushing along a toy tricycle with huge loud speakers blasting out messages for all to hear.

The message in the book is not that well concealed, as after about the 10th chapter, it just yarns about global warming excessively as if the author had nothing else to type/write in terms of the plot. When I was reading this, I thought it would actually be a good combination of fiction and the obvious reality. As not really expected, it was extremely and I'm stressing 'extremely', disappointing, not to mention tacky.

I really wish novels were just novels without an ever present conservative issue like they used to be. This does not mean I don't care for the rest of the biosphere, no, quite the opposite.
